Library Policies

Library Cards:
Free library cards are available. Children under 18 need a parent’s or guardian’s signature. Proof of current address, such as a driver’s license, showing name and address is required. A phone number for contact is necessary.

Circulation Period:
Books, audio books, and music are checked out for three weeks. Magazines and TV shows are two weeks. Regular DVDs are checked out for one week.

Renewals:
Materials may be renewed twice unless an item is on hold for another patron. To renew an item, you may call the library at 715-647-2373, or e-mail at pcbooks@plumcitylibrary.org or through the library catalog.

Fines:
The Plum City Public Library is proudly fine-free. This means any item physically checked out from our library does not accumulate fines. Items not returned within 3 weeks past the due date will be subject to replacement bills and fees.

Reserves/Holds:
A patron may reserve an item by contacting the library staff, or through the library catalog. You will be contacted by phone, e-mail, or mail when the item is available.

Interlibrary Loan:
Materials not owned by the Plum City Public Library may be available on loan from another library. The library staff will gladly make every attempt to get a requested item.

Donations:
It is the policy of the Plum City Public Library that we shall not make donations of goods or money to fundraising activities.  We shall, however, purchase an ad in the Plum City High School yearbook on behalf of the library.
